Sapele (pron. sap-elly) is a reddish brown hardwood from Africa and is commonly used to make furniture due to its close relationship to mahogany. It has a tight grain and this sphere is slightly under 3 inches and comes with a wax finish and a large white and gold clock face.

Wooden ball clocks are turned as a sphere on the lathe and then finished. Each clock comes with a rubber ring to sit on. The clock face pops out so that the time and battery can be changed when required.
